As if driving isn’t dangerous enough, the roads can be even more deadly when a negligent driver gets behind the wheel. Whether they are intoxicated or simply not paying attention, these drivers may increase the likelihood of a fatal accident occurring. In Monmouth and throughout New Jersey, it is imperative for drivers to do everything they can to prevent fatal motor vehicle accidents from claiming more lives.

According to law enforcement officials, two vehicles were heading down South Grove Street in East Orange, New Jersey, when they struck each other head-on. The collision claimed the lives of three men who were travelling in one vehicle and sent two women who were riding in the other vehicle to the hospital. A number of passengers riding on a bus were also injured when it came to an abrupt stop.

The three men who passed away in the crash were all in their twenties and were determined to have lost their lives at the scene of the accident. One of the two women involved in the head-on collision was released from the hospital, while the other is still hospitalized due to her injuries. Authorities are still investigating the incident and have not filed any charges at this time. The crash occurred at roughly 8:50 p.m. and certain details pertaining to the accident remain unclear.

When a wrongful death occurs due to the negligence of another, those who are dealing with the loss of a loved one may have tremendous emotional pain. Unfortunately, they could be experiencing other hardships as well, such as financial problems due to medical expenses and funeral expenses. Anyone in this position should explore their options and may want to talk with an attorney if they decide to take legal action.
