Whether someone is hit by a drunk driver or has their entire world turned upside down because someone was texting and driving, there are many reasons why car crashes occur. In Monmouth and throughout the state of New Jersey, some of these car accidents could have been prevented and can be more difficult for victims than many realize. For example, someone may struggle with lost wages due to a personal injury sustained in the accident.

According to reports from State Police, a 32-year-old man from Belvidere was hit by an oncoming car after losing control of his vehicle. The man was declared dead at the location of the crash, which took place on Route 519.

The accident report states that the driver was heading south shortly before 4:30 p.m. when his vehicle spun around, crossed the center line and was struck from behind by an oncoming car. The driver of the oncoming car, a 30-year-old from Blairstown, sustained minor injuries in the collision and was sent to the hospital. The accident report also points out that it was wet and rainy when the crash, which is still being investigated, occurred.

Moving forward from an auto accident can be incredibly tough. Aside from the physical and emotional pain, some people experience burdensome financial challenges (such as significant medical expenses). Since every accident is different, some are unsure of their legal options and don’t know what to do next. When someone needs compensation after an accident and wants to hold a reckless driver accountable, they may benefit from contacting a legal professional to talk about their options.
