If you are a New Jersey parent, you probably already know that young children are required to be in a car seat. You may not know, however, that a new law went into effect in September 2015 that tightened the regulations on the use of child car seats.

According to NBC News, the study was held over a 6-year period and involved over 500,000 women’s records relating to pregnancy and car accidents. The researchers looked for accidents that occurred during the women’s pregnancies and that required emergency care at an emergency room.

Spring is in the air. The weather is warming, flowers are blooming and many motorcyclists are getting their bikes out and hitting the open road. While some people prefer to ride alone, there are many groups in New Jersey that get together and ride as a team. Those riders should take extra precautions when riding in a group in order to prevent an accident.

Keeping teen drivers safe

Every year, teenagers across New Jersey embark on the right of passage that is getting their driver's license. However, even those teens that ace driver's ed and pass the test on their first try are at a much greater risk of being involved in a crash than other drivers. In fact, according to AAA, teens are at at the highest risk of a crash in their first 12 to 18 months behind the wheel.
