Whenever any type of traffic accident occurs, there could be serious consequences for those involved. Unfortunately, when a motorcyclist collides with a vehicle, the outcome can be particularly devastating. Motorcycle accidents may result in debilitating injuries and fatalities, changing the lives of those who are impacted forever. A New Jersey motorcyclist was travelling west on Center Street in Mantua Township when the driver of an SUV took a left turn at an intersection and collided with him. The collision caused the 48-year-old motorcyclist to suffer serious injuries and he was taken to a hospital, where he passed away.
After law enforcement officials questioned the woman who was driving the SUV, she was released. Authorities have said that they do not intend to charge the driver of the SUV in the man’s death, although they will issue traffic summonses. An investigation into the incident, which took place just after 6:30 a.m., is ongoing.
From motorcycle unawareness to a distracted or speeding driver, there are many reasons why these incidents continue to take place throughout the country. Not only do some of these wrecks cause severe physical and emotional pain (such as a permanent disability or dealing with the loss of a loved one), but they can result in serious financial problems as well.
