Robert C. Fernicola graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1989. He continued his education at the Georgetown University Law Center where he received a Juris Doctor in 1992.

Mr. Fernicola is admitted to practice law in New Jersey Superior Court and United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is an active member in the American Association for Justice as well as the New Jersey, Monmouth County and American Bar Associations. From 2000 to 2003, he served on the Borough of Allenhurst governing body as Commissioner of Parks, Recreation, Public Buildings and Beach.

Mr. Fernicola has extensive insurance defense litigation experience engaging in all phases of litigation in both Federal and Superior Court. Currently, he concentrates his practice representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and commercial litigation with special emphasis in construction litigation, boating accidents and product liability cases. He also practices municipal land use law before local boards.

He is currently serving as Public Defender for the Township of Ocean . He is also the Republican Chairman representing the Village of Loch Arbour.
